What's the funniest thing that happened at NEM this year?

“Sick Day”

One day last semester in Mr. Gerig’s 3rd block Government class, Mr. Gerig appeared to be really sick.  His voice sounded ruff and he kept sniffling.  He continued to teach the class and was mid way through a sentence when he stopped and turned to Shayla, who was in the front row; he put his hands to his mouth and made an odd grunting sound.  Thinking he was going to barf on her Shayla was trying to get out of her desk by the time he blew out pieces of confetti sized paper at her.  It was a funny sight to see, I’m just glad I was in the back row.

“Zombie Movie”

Clinton, Jared and Tommie were making a movie for their Digital Imaging II class.  The movie idea was about students who have been turned into zombies.  They needed to film a group of students acting like zombies walking in the hallway, so they told some people about their project and if they were interested in becoming zombies to meet in a hallway during lunchtime.  Sadly enough no one showed up to be zombies.  Frustrated that no one showed up, and their deadline coming up, they commandeered Mr. Young’s 4th block Government class and had those students, including Mr. Young, be the zombies for their movie.  Their movie turned out to be hilarious and explosive.  Who said making movies was boring?

"Mr. Banana"

Last semester, when I was in the lunch room with a bunch of my friends, we had a banana. However, it wasn't just any banana -- it was Mr. Banana, a banana that Mazey had taken and broken the peel on. The break looked and moved like a mouth when the banana was wiggled back and forth. We began passing the banana around the table, making it talk and finding it incredibly funny. Eventually I got it and started going crazy - jerking at people with the banana, making the banana "chew" on people, making it say in a funny voice "I am Mr. Banana!" The entire table was cracking up because I looked so silly goofing off with "Mr. Banana," and Otter (Sarah) was recording the whole crazy show.  (I'm not entirely sure if she's gotten the clip up, but it was hilarious.)

Next time you're at lunch, try giving the banana a mouth -- it is surprisingly fun when there's not much else you can do.
